George Duke Its On
George duke has been a major influence for smooth jazz from the point of view that through out the commercialism of funk and rnb he still maintained his integrity in producing and writing jazz funk throughout.
Exceptional talent who rail his jazz roots with greats and legends he steered a path with a more commercial acceptance of exploring smooth jazz keeping true to his roots maintaining a rugged funk and dynamic stamp on keyboards composition and vocal accomplishment a grammy award winner.
I love George because of his clear evidence of dominating piano and keyboards so much like his peers Herbie Hancock,Joe Sample so on and so on.
I cannot but pay tribute to such and wonder in anyway confident that the future of such good musicians are continuing their legacy perhaps but no one I know really has poured as much integrity in their music as such guys.

ALTIYAN your Xfactor-”I was always a Kook in Peoples Eyes”!
ALTIYAN
He is made for Rock Week and as he slammed down U2’s “Beautiful Day”, Altiyan left the crowd wanting more. He could have parted storm clouds and blown out speakers totally smashing the Irish band’s big hit. We reckon Bono would have been pretty damn impressed!
Inspiring performance for someone who was regarded as a joke now a surprise package who use to forget his words and now one of the strongest.
“I Was always a Kook in Peoples Eyes”,just trailing his story from obscurity to someone like the others having dreams and belief wow appreciation to you Altiyan, your family and your story below.
Your father summed up it well, “Altiyan is a good musician,You can’t be wrong when you have music from the heart, you just can’t be wrong I am the richest father in the world”
Forklift driver Altiyan Childs had almost given up his dream of becoming a musician. Born in Mt Isa, but growing up in Sydney’s North Shore, Altiyan Childs formed his first band at age 12.
Now at 35, he’s finally getting the chance he thinks he deserves. Having enjoyed some success 10 years ago with the band “Masonia” (they reached Number 41 on the album charts), Altiyan decided to retire from music.
“I lost the drive to keep plugging away, sending demos.”
Altiyan’s father encouraged him to audition for The X Factor. “He saw how much I was struggling being
away from music,” he says.
Altiyanís first audition didn’t go so well – but the judges saw something in and and asked him to return the next day for another chance.
And now he has ended up with Ronan Keating as his mentor in the Over 25s group – “I instantly felt a connection with him – I love that man. He is so inspiring to me.”
His musical inspiration: “Prince always affected me, Van Morrison spoke to me.”
What is he looking forward to most in the competition? “As soon as the song starts, I
lose myself and find myself at the same time.”
Check out our exclusive interview with Altiyan Childs:
Congratulations on making it to the top 12, how does it feel?
Indescribable.
What’s been the most rewarding part of the journey so far?
Recognition
And the toughest part?
Getting five hours to sleep and learn a new song. Also witnessing the pain of those who get knocked back.
When did you start performing and what spurred you on to apply for the show?
I started performing in school at about the age of 13. After 2 years of not singing or performing, my father asked me to try for the show as a favor to him.
Have you bonded with any of the other contestants? What’s brought you together?
Of course. The common pain and joy has brought us together. And with others, our common beliefs.
Who’s your favorite judge and why?
Ronan. He’s all soul. He’s still very in touch with the human in him. He hasn’t lost himself.
Which artist inspires you and why?
Prince. His voice. His guts. His songwriting. His moves. His style. Very few can compare.
Why do you have the x factor?
Because I’m a puppet to the music.
So fast forward in time. You are the x factor winner. Describe what happens next?
A beautiful album is released.
Music and the Animal Kingdom (This is super cool)
Did you know that…

- All animals that walk, crawl, swim, or fly, move in time to a beat. And animals like jellyfish swim to a pulse–even though they don’t have a brain. - Female jumping spiders “audition” potential mates by watching them shake it (dance) before them. If he’s a Travolta, they mate - but if he’s like me, she pounces, kills him and eats him.
- In Chicago, Lincoln Park, they studied what effect violin music had on various animals. The results… incredible! Panthers loved a tune like “Home, Sweet Home”, as did a lioness withher cubs and a jaguar.
So much that the violinist gained their trust and sat close to thecage while playing. When playing their favorite tune ‘Home, Sweet Home’, the family seemed very attentive, and were motionless except that the cubs turned their heads from side to side. When it came to the coyotes turn they formed a semi circle and sat silently while the violinist did his thing, once he stopped they got restless and started prancing about almost as saying “play usanother song Mr”. This experiment was repeated several times with the same result. Pretty cool huh? So next time you listen to music just think…it’s not only being absorbed by us humans, but also animals, plants and life around us. It makes me wonder what came first… language or the communication with rhythm and various types of music…? Have an awesome day
Life changing Audio’s (blown me away!!)

I’m at the moment visiting my family and something very interesting happened to
me the other day when I was in the recording studio.
I had been producing music for about 3 hours and decided to go and see my friend
(and very famous music producer who shall remain nameless) in the studio next to mine.
I walked in and there he was not working on his new album like I had expected him to be,
but listening to these ‘sounds’ or what you might call ‘strange noises’.
I asked him what on earth it was and he replied ‘I’m listening to Brainwave Entrainment
tracks…they really help me enter a creative state and feel relaxed’.
We continued our chat and he explained that since listening to these special tracks he’s
experienced higher levels of success and achievement than he ever thought possible.
And i can certainly vouch for that as he has had many number 1 selling hits in the last 5 years!
So I though I’d do a little research and share my findings with you
Brainwave Entrainment audio’s are basically tracks embedded with ‘binaural beats’ and different
pink or background sounds.
You can listen to them for relaxation, meditation, stress reduction, pain management, improved
sleep quality, decrease in sleep requirements, super learning, enhanced creativity, intuition,
out-of-body experience and lucid dreaming. What i found even more interesting when doing
my research is that they are perfect to use with positive affirmations and visualization!
Go here to check out all the different audio’s available
Plus when I looked into it further I found an incredible number of benefits. In fact by listening
to these audio’s you can tap into your subconscious and create some huge changes in your life.
Here’s just a few of the positive effects you can experience..
You can…

- Learn to manage your brainwaves, and immediately change your internal state of mind
for the better

calm…any state!
- Clear your mind of all the “garbage” accumulated over the years like disappointments,
confusions, upsets, stress, anxiety
- Massively enhance your ability to take in and contain new material experiencing a sort
of “super-learning”.
- Gain a higher alertness and keep your concentration to a maximum, without having to knock
back big cups of coffee…
- Learn to reprogram your mind to rid anything from fear of snakes to the fear of heights,
loosing weight, quitting smoking, gaining confidence, public speaking
Sound too good to be true?
I thought so until I found out it was my friends secret success weapon!
This is so powerful you can even benefit from it while you’re asleep.
